Champion Highlands

Our goal is to produce some of the most structurally and behaviorally sound  Highland cattle available.  We aim to fulfill the needs of both breeders and beef producers.  We cull for udders, temperament, structure and appeal.  All animals are raised with respect and kindness.  We started with a few well chosen champions and are building from there.
Trafalgar Yann

Yann caught our eye at the regional show in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was calm and easy going at this bustling show. His excellent lineage starts with dam Pauline from Trafalgar Farm.  Pauline is well respected for producing numerous successful offspring. His sire, Summit Ranch Ugo, is one of the most consistent and sought after bulls in the highland breed! Yann has great feet, legs and length of body with an ideal structure.

Yann was unmatched at every show he attended in 2013 and won Grand Champion Highland Bull at the 2014 National Show in Denver, Colorado.  Semen is available from this national champion by contacting Bessheen at the ranch.

STR Iluminada

Iluminada was our top pick going to the national highland sale in Colorado.  Her sire is the newly imported Australian bull Samhach Buidhe of Bairnsley.  Her dam is MBL Fatima a excellent foundation cow at Star Lake Cattle Company.   We have put her on the show circuit and there is no stopping this amazing heifer!  In her first year, Iluminada  won one championship ribbon after another.

Illuminada traveled to the east cost where she placed Reserve Grand Champion at the Big East and Reserve Grand Champion at MAHA.  She won Grand Champion in the junior division, and Grand Champion in the open class at the Osceola Classic here in Michigan.  Iluminada had her first calf in 2016.  In the mean time, she will travel to more competitions throughout the country, including the national highland show in Denver.   Keep an eye on this Fancy heifer, as she is a rising star.
